Local Customer Boost (“we”) runs this website and The Local Spotlight postcard. This page explains what we collect and why. Questions or requests: mike@localcustomerboost.com or call/text 224-212-1242.
What we collect
- Orders: your business name, your name, email, phone, business address, service area, category and website, plus the ad files and details you give us.
- Messages: what you send through our contact or quote forms.
- Ad designs: designs you make in the online ad builder, and the email address if you ask us to save one for you.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We receive whether you paid and the amount, never your card number.
- Basic usage: simple steps in the ad builder (for example, which spot size was picked), without your ad files, email, phone or typed text. We don't use fingerprinting or advertising trackers.
How we use it
- To process your order, make and print your ad, mail the card, and contact you about your order.
- To answer your messages.
- To send marketing emails, but only if you ticked the box asking for them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
We don't sell your information. Your ad itself is printed on the postcard and, if you agree, shown as an example on our site.
Services we use
We use trusted providers to run the site: Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Vercel (website hosting) and Neon (database and file storage). If you use the ad builder's “Create an ad” writing help, the text you enter is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to suggest wording, only when you click to generate it.
Cookies
We use only the cookies the site needs to work: one that keeps your ad-builder design with your browser, one that remembers a design you saved by email, and a login cookie for our own admin area. No advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
- Unsaved ad-builder designs: about 7 days. Designs saved by email: about 90 days after you last used them.
- Orders and payment records: as long as needed for the order and for tax and accounting.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or to stop marketing emails, by contacting us at mike@localcustomerboost.com or call/text 224-212-1242. We'll keep only what the law requires us to keep (for example, payment records).
